Day 1: Arrive in Chandigarh – Drive to Manali
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Chandigarh to Manali, through forested hills and winding valleys. Settle into a boutique hotel in Manali, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and prepare for the majestic days ahead.
Day 2: Manali to Jispa – Gateway to the High Himalayas
Drive through the iconic Atal Tunnel and enter the otherworldly landscapes of Lahaul. Reach Jispa by late afternoon, nestled along the Bhaga River. Spend the evening at a charming riverside retreat, with a cozy dinner and quiet night under the stars.
Day 3: Jispa to Kaza – Into the Cold Desert
Traverse one of the most spectacular Himalayan drives, crossing the high-altitude Kunzum Pass and descending into the stark beauty of Spiti Valley. Arrive at AMIDA by late evening, where warmth, elegance, and the view of Key Monastery await you.
Day 4: Sacred Spiti – Key, Kibber & Chicham
Begin your exploration with a guided tour of Key Monastery, one of Spiti’s oldest and most
revered centers of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit Kibber, a high- ltitude village known for wildlife sightings, and cross the dramatic Chicham Bridge, suspended above a deep gorge. Return to AMIDA for an intimate fireside evening.
Day 5: Langza, Hikkim & Komic – On Top of the World
Venture to Langza, home to fossil-rich meadows and a towering Buddha statue. Continue to Hikkim to post a letter from the world’s highest post office, and then to Komic, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. End the day at the lively Kaza market for local crafts and cuisine.
Day 6: Into the Wild – Pin Valley & Dhankar
Drive into the lush, protected landscapes of Pin Valley National Park. Visit the serene Mudh Village for a short nature walk. Later, explore Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside, with views that echo eternity. Return to AMIDA for a slow, luxurious evening.
Day 7: Kaza to Kalpa – Descending Through Apple Country
Begin your descent into Kinnaur, arriving at Kalpa by evening. With views of the sacred Kinnaur Kailash range and terraced orchards, Kalpa offers a beautiful contrast to the barren grandeur of Spiti. Stay in a charming local boutique retreat.
Day 8: Kalpa to Chandigarh – Farewell to the Mountains
After breakfast, drive down through winding mountain roads, river valleys, and changing scenery, reaching Chandigarh by evening. Depart with memories of deep silence, warm moments, and majestic landscapes etched forever in your heart.
