We stayed at Amida Rangrik during the first week of February while on a snow expedition and Snow Leopard sighting trip, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel beautifully combines traditional mud-built Spitian architecture with stunning views of the snow-covered mountains and valley. Despite the harsh winter conditions, the rooms were extremely comfortable, with traditional wood-burning tandoors, heated blankets, oil heaters in the bathrooms, and a heated restaurant. We were especially impressed by the availability of running hot and cold water and fully operational toilets throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner spreads were excellent, with a great variety of delicious food. A special thanks to Mr. Sonam and Mr. Amit for their warm hospitality and attentive service. Chef Gautam and Chef Sahil did a fantastic job, making every meal memorable. Amida Rangrik is the perfect base for exploring Spiti in winter, offering authentic local charm, modern comforts, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!
